Where to stay for kitesurfing at Bulabog Beach
Ride at Bulabog by day and walk to D'Mall and the sunset side of the island in the evening. Blue Suites Boracay sits between the two.
Bulabog Beach in short
Bulabog is on the east side of Boracay, across the narrow middle of the island from White Beach. It is the island’s kitesurfing and windsurfing beach: a wide lagoon sheltered by an offshore reef, with the wind blowing onto the shore in season.
- Wind seasonAmihan, the northeast monsoon, roughly November to April. The steadiest wind is usually from December to February.
- Off seasonFrom about June to October the wind turns southwest (Habagat). Bulabog is then calm and White Beach gets the wind.
- Lessons and rentalKite schools along Bulabog Beach offer beginner courses and gear rental.
- TidesThe lagoon gets shallow at low tide. Check the tide times with your school before you plan a session.
- From the hotelA short walk east. Ask our front office for the quickest way.
Why stay in the center instead of on the kite beach
- Two beaches on foot. Bulabog for the wind, and the beach on the west side, 3 to 5 minutes away, for a swim and the sunset.
- Food at the door. D’Mall’s restaurants, cafes and groceries are steps from the hotel, which matters after a long session.
- Rooms for a crew. The Quad Room has four single beds, so friends can share one room without sharing a bed.
- A rooftop. Sunrise and sunset views, and a look at the sky before you head out.
Rooms that suit riders

Good to know: the hotel does not store or rent kite gear. The kite schools on Bulabog Beach rent equipment, so ask your school about storage if you bring your own.
Days without wind
We can connect you with a local guide for island hopping, snorkelling, diving and other activities, on the day and time you prefer. We can also arrange a massage in your room.
